Abstract

Ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) is a rare but potentially serious postpartum complication, which occurs in 0.05% to 0.18% of pregnancies and is diagnosed on the right side in 80% to 90% of the cases [1,2]. As OVT can mimic acute abdomen it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of postpartum acute abdomen [3]. We present a case of a 29-year-old female who presented a diffuse abdominal pain, fever and vomit on her third postpartum day. Her computed tomography demonstrated left ovarian vein repletion defect compatible with the presence of a thrombus. She was treated with enoxaparin and antibiotics, which lead to a resolution of the thrombus. Our case highlights the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment of OVT in order to prevent morbidity and mortality

Ovarian vein thrombosis is a rare but potentially serious condition that affects mostly postpartum women, but it may also be associated with a variety of pelvic conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, gynecological surgery, and malignancies [1]. Early recognition and treatment of this condition is needed to avoid the morbidity and the mortality related both to the thrombosis and to any associated infection or sepsis. OVT can occur in 0.02% to 0.18% of pregnancies, 80% to 90% occur in the right side [2]. This is believed to be due, in part, to the dextrorotation of the enlarging uterus that commonly occurs during pregnancy, which compresses the right ovarian vein and right ureter as they cross the pelvic rim [4]. The usual clinical symptoms are pelvic or diffuse abdominal pain, fever and right-sided palpable mass

Abstract
A brief review of the concept of Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) used in fisheries management is discussed. The convenience of assessing the exploited stocks with the aid of simulation is advised, because implies the possibility to analyze the age structure of the fishery in more detail, as compared to the traditional methods of fish stock assessment. Emphasis is given to the use of the MSY as limit reference point because as long as the Fishing Mortality or fishing effort required for that point is kept at lower values, the fishery will have a good chance to be sustainable. A mention of the Maximum Economic Yield is made, proposing its use a target for the management, because it is reached in general with lower F values that for the MSY, and this way keeping the fishery in a healthy condition

Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to throw light on the depreciating level of sleep and the repercussion among the present youths, popularly known as Gen Z or the iGens. The mini review intends to bring the past researches exploring youth’s attitude toward sleep and understanding the factors that promote sleep deprivation. It was found that cultural, technological, and social factors are the potent reasons behind their sleep deprivation. Given the burgeoning size of youth and their indispensability, it is felt that the sleep-wake cycle and mindset toward sleep need to be corrected at the earliest.

Mr. X is an undergrad student of Psychology major. He works as a part timer in an online sales company post-college hour. After finishing his class in the afternoon, he joins his duty and works till 9-10PM in the night, sometimes extending into midnight. Post-dinner, after hitting the bed, he is glued to his mobile and laptop, checking the mails, enjoying the pleasantries through chatting and video calling his friends on Whats app, uploading pictures on Facebook and Instagram, forcing him to sleep late, only to wake early in the morning to live his life in the fixed sleep-wake routine. The aforementioned case represents the present lifestyle of todays’ youth. UN defined youths in the age category of 15-23 years. Going by this definition in present time, the eldest youth of today was born in 1997 and the youngest in 2005. In generational study, people born in this year range are labeled as Generation- Z or the netizens or the iGens [1]. Together with their immediate predecessors, millennials (born between 1981-1996), they constitute about 63% of the world population. Recognized as ambitious, achievers, innovators, tech-savvy, on one hand and narcissist, impulsive, impatient on the other [1], they are already influencing the globe at present, courtesy the rise of start-ups and unicorns. Continuing this trend, they will have massive role in defining the future
